We are very lucky to have Whaia Trish come into our classroom every Thursday to do Te Reo with us.



1st Session:

hope hope = sway your hips
peke peke = jump
oma oma = run
hitoki hitoki = hop
kao kao = swim
hikoi = walk
paki paki = clap
huri huti = turn around/spin
e moe e moe = sleep
kari kari = dance
takahia = stomp

2nd Session:

Ko wai to ingoa? = What is your name?
Ko _________ taku ingoa = My name is ________
Ko au = me
Matua = parents
Matua tupuna = grandparents
kumu = bottom/backside
Aua = I don't know
Kutu = fleas/headlice
Waiho = leave it
