Festival Inquiry Projects

Today we completed our Festival Inquiry. We presented our projects to Room 21. We also had a look at their cool Mexican Pinatas. Here are some pictures of our presentations as well as our Batik Art work we did with Mrs Annamalay. :)

We had our first game yesterday at lunch time. It was a good game against Room 24. We just lost 2-1 but it was close all the way. I believe we have another game tomorrow so ... GOOD LUCK!!

Welcome Mrs Annamalay

This term we have a student teacher!
Her name is Mrs Annamalay and we have really enjoyed having her in our classroom this week. Mrs Annamalay is in her very last Practicum before becoming a qualified teacher at the end of the year. Mrs Annamalay is Malaysian Indian and we are looking forward to learning more about her culture. She is has been living in New Zealand for a rather long time (longer than me!) so is also a Kiwi. :)
We get to have her every day for 5 weeks!!

Tianna's Show

Today I surprised our Tianna by showing up to her dress rehearsal performance of the show they are taking to America!! (Thanks Melinda for the secret heads up). It was a fantastic show and Tianna was headlining the show like a pro! What a star! I was so glad I got to see it and her surprised face when she saw me was priceless!

Weekend News

Here are a couple of pics from Logan's rugby team.

They competed in The Auckland under 10's tournament in Pakuranga today and they WON!!!

They all played with such commitment was awesome to watch

Also Tyler, Ashton and Reagan from Mr Bakers class and Jeremiah from the middle school.

They all got a medal and the team got a trophy!

Soccer versus Room 24

Sam, Ben and Milan have organised a Soccer Tournament involving the Senior classrooms to compete against each other including knockout rounds as part of a Homework Challenge.
Last Monday it was our turn and we played against Room 24! Unfortunately we were the Brazil to Germany in this event. :( However we all had a lot of fun preparing and participating in the event. It was great to see so much support for our team including Mr Maindonald, Ricky's parents and our very own Cheerleading squad!
